She wanted to play in the "rain" so we dressed her up in her rain gear and let her have at it until her teeth were chattering.  She had a blast.

Father's Day

I took this video with my new iPhone 3Gs. First of all, how cool that I can have a camera AND video camera all in one. Second, how cool that I can edit it and post it right to YouTube within seconds! And third, how cool that this video is even better quality than the videos that I've been taking with my little flip-style video camera? Addison and Whipping Cream

Who doesn't love a spray of whipping cream every now and then? Here is the joy of a 2 year old and her love of Redi Whip.

Video posting crazy!!

It seems I've been taking a lot of videos of Addison. A LOT! It seem so easy with the little flippy video camera. You just record and plug it in to your USB drive. How easy is that? I just wish YouTube wouldn't grainy them up so much. That video of Addison swimming - you can hardly see her through the pixels! I guess the videos would take up too much room otherwise, but still. That being said, I'll post another video of Addison tonight of her spinning wildly around the living room. She did this for about 20 minutes, just spinning and spinning then falling down. It was too funny! I love when she's acting goofy like that. She says "whoaaa" then sometimes (not in this video) after she falls down she'll say "Addison okay". Other times she just sprawls out on the floor spread eagle pretending to fall down. Ask her if she's okay and she says "I'm okay". Silly. I love it.

Addison's ISR refresher

Here's the newest installment of Addison's ISR refreshers. She's doing very well and seems to be enjoying it. She's learning to swim further under water and is flipping when she's supposed to.

Addison is funny

This is a video of Addison watching herself get pelted by snowballs (by her father, you should know)...and it cracks her up. Also, she's started saying "Ah, ah, chooo" all the time now. Sometimes as an added bonus, she'll throw herself on the floor as if her sneeze was so powerful it knocked her to the floor. She's just adorable!

Snowman / snowball

This is a link to the video of Addison from this weekend. We had a big snowfall and she helped make a snowman. Greg did most of the structural work of course, but Addison did really help. Then she decided to throw snowballs at him. I think she might have said a curse word, but I'm not sure. Listen closely. : )

Tinkle tinkle

Here's an ACTUAL video of Addison. Singing. The sweetest version of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. I have to admit, we use a version of this song I call "Tinkle Tinkle" for potty training purposes. It's pretty much the same tune, with the exception of the lyrics: Tinkle. You just sing "tinkle" over and over again. Hey, it works! Sometimes we switch it up and sing the ABC song, but I'm a little concerned that when kindergarten comes around, she'll have an urgent need to go to the bathroom every time the alphabet is sung. I said it works now, I have no idea what the long term effects will be.



Anyway, I think you can hear her singing "Tinkle...Tinkle...STAR!" in the video. It comes across a little more grainy with YouTube.

It's pretty amazing all the new words she's learning. She knows how to count to 2. She knows what 2 is. She knows pink and blue. She knows sockie. We had a discussion about which colored socks she wanted to wear this morning. Since her Elmo socks were dirty, much to her dismay, she had to pick a pair of colored socks. She wanted blue, but they didn't go with her outfit, so we settled on pink. She can also sort of tell you what she wants. Sometimes it's like a cryptic puzzle to figure out. In the car today, for example, she was singing again and we were mimicking her. Next thing, she says "momma" "dadda" "2". I think she wanted us to sing together. Did you get that? Well, when we sing together she thinks it's quite amusing. So we do. It's fun to hear her talking and figuring things out. Most times though, we're still shrugging and looking at each other while she cries because we can't understand what she wants. It will come. For now, she'll just have to settle on chips, hot dogs, and cookies until she can learn more words.
